WISDOM'S JOURNEY: Is the current of life calm or rough? Proverbs 19:27
Is the current of life calm or rough?
TODAY'S PROVERB: My son, if you stop heeding instruction, you will stray from words of knowledge. Proverbs 19:27
Every attempt to swim or paddle upstream? Depending upon how strong the current, sometimes we have to work hard just to stay in place.
That's what living the wisdom journey can be like, at least sometimes. The world's current flows in the opposite direction as GOD's--it's always trying to pull us away from Him.
Some currents are stronger than others. The rapids are obvious, but it's those gentle currents that fool us. They fool us into thinking we can relax and not keep paddling.
Until Jesus returns, we must everyday go against what the world deems as wisdom.
Lately, the current seems to be more treacherous. But, rather rapid or gentle, a current is always moving. If we want to keep moving toward our Heavenly Father, we must continue to paddle.
To stop padding or swimming is to go backwards and eventually, we'll stray from His words of knowledge.
To seek and heed GOD's instruction is to move toward Him. And that is a good thing.
May we be diligent, my friends, and paddle hard!
