WISDOM'S JOURNEY: How are GOD's Children Different? Proverbs 10:16

How are GOD's Children Different?

TODAY'S PROVERB: The wages of the righteous are life. The income of the wicked is sin. Proverbs 10:16

We reap what we sow (Proverbs 22:8). The wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23). Today's verse in Proverbs is a great summary of many passages in the Bible that speak of our actions having results--good and bad. The old cause and effect relationship.

Long before eastern religions coined the term karma, the Creator of the Universe was teaching humanity through Jewish leaders and prophets. They taught that not only our actions, but our thoughts--our motivations--have an effect on us and others around us.

Karma teaches that our actions have consequences to our future selves--as in reincarnation. But, that's not how our Heavenly Father built this existence. We live one life and then we move on to eternity. How scary that so many in this world don't realize this.

Tapping into the wisdom of GOD through His word is accessing true eternal wealth.

Many religions acknowledge the wisdom all around them. Creation is filled with the wonders of mountains, seas, plains, people, animals, the skies, the stars . . . so much more. Seeing the wisdom is not necessarily a bad thing. There are many lessons we can learn from in nature and human and animal behavior.

However, as children of the GOD of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and redeemed by His Son, Messiah Yeshua, we are different in one significant way. We seek the Creator, not the creation as our source of wisdom.

Worshiping creation is not worshiping the Creator, and He is very jealous of our affection (Exodus 20:3).

May we remember the source of our wisdom as the ultimate cause and effect of our life, my friends.
