Do we seek wisdom earnestly?

TODAY'S PROVERB: I love those who love me. Those who earnestly seek me find me. Proverb 8:17

[NOTE: I'm purposely repeating this proverb from last month. I apparently left myself some "gleanings" to enjoy. I hope they are a blessing to you as well.]

I love the word earnestly. To be earnest is to have purpose. To have purpose we are steadily and soberly eager to pursue that purpose. In this case, wisdom.

To earnestly pursue wisdom, we are intentional and determined.

We don't seek a superficial understanding of wisdom, we seek diligently to find the depths of what wisdom can show us.

When we dig deeper, we better see our flaws and weaknesses. Then we understand how deep and wide is His love for us (Ephesians 3:18).

We are eager students on a relentless and consistent journey.

A quick study of Proverbs will never satisfy us. It's the daily meal--buffet--we need to be healthy, strong, and grateful.

We love the journey, although at times it's painful and arduous. But, we continue because we feel the mind of GOD, and witness His hand in each step we take. And, let's face it, any opportunity to walk with Him is pure joy.

May we earnestly seek wisdom, my friends.
