What new insights are waiting for us?

Proverbs 1:7--Ah yes! It's time to "roll back the scroll" to Proverbs 1. Some months, like this one, it feels like waking to the beautiful sunrise of a new day. What's in store for us? What new insights will our Heavenly Father reveal to His children?

The past year or so I've also taken to read a few chapters of Psalms before I read Proverbs 1. It primes me like a pump--and somehow the living waters of truth are that much more refreshing.

The beauty of living the Bible is we begin to see how wonderfully layered and patterned it is. Each book builds for the next.

Psalms has wisdom and knowledge insights, too. We can read of David's wisdom and knowledge and can see how he taught his son, Solomon.

David teaches us how to praise GOD for wisdom, Solomon teaches us how to live it.

Imagine! Not only are we taught by the great kings of old, but we are getting to know them as people--as a father and son.

These are just some of the sweet revelations that come from living within the pages of GOD's word. Those blessings that make us, His children, all the richer.

As the psalmists proclaim and the proverbs confirms:
"The fear of ADONAI is the beginning of wisdom.
All who follow His precepts have good understanding.
His praise endures forever!" Psalm 111:10

May His praise endure forever in our lives, my friends.
