Warning: One of those scary passages!

Proverbs 15:8--There are some pretty scary passages in the Bible.

Today's proverb reminds me of Matthew 7:21: “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord!’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven."

In the proverb, the person was dedicated to the Temple sacrifices. In the Matthew reference, Yeshua (Jesus) said even those who prophesy, cast out demons, and perform miracles in His name, the Father does not know them.

Why? Because GOD can see into our heart.

We can never fool the LORD into thinking a righteous deed is the same as a righteous heart.

Our Abba knows His own Son, and if Yeshua isn't in our heart--if we are not wearing His robe of righteousness--then He doesn't care how good the deed, He doesn't know us.

The most comforting fact is that we don't have to be perfect, we just have to have Yeshua. And that is a good thing.

May our heart be His, my friends.
