Is wisdom welcome in your heart?

Proverbs 2:10--I love the first few chapters of Proverbs. Our Heavenly Father woos and warns us with the importance of the pursuit of wisdom. And that's what Proverbs is all about--our pursuit of His wisdom.

Everyday there is a new insight or reminder of how we can travel this wisdom journey with integrity.

This verse is my favorite. It has been since I first realized that I could have wisdom--it could be part of me. It was the proverb of hope that encouraged me to shoulder through the mistakes and fumbles.

As I've shared before, with my learning disabilities, I truly thought there was no hope for so many years. I believed it was my destiny to journey through life making foolish choices because I wasn't smart enough to make wise ones. If wisdom even made an attempt to enter me, I was afraid it wouldn't feel welcomed by my ineptness.

The day Pastor Jack, of River of Life Fellowship in Kent, Washington, said that if we read a chapter of Proverbs everyday for the rest of our lives (at least to the best of our ability), wisdom would come into our heart and it would be our pleasure to know things. By reading a chapter of Proverbs each day, wisdom would finally find a home with me.

It still took me a few years to develop the discipline to keep up the routine, but once I did, my life began to change. And, you can be sure, I won't stop as long as I'm able.

After nearly 3 years of blogging about my journey, and nearly a year of filming Wisdom's Journey with my friend, Daniah, the pursuit of wisdom will always be who I am and how I walk this faith journey with fear and trembling (Philippians 2:12). And it's worth every moment. I hope it's a blessing to you.

May wisdom enter our hearts and be welcomed, my friends.
