Who's in charge?
Proverbs 29:26--When I think of this proverb, I think of a person who believes they need someone in power to help them find justice.
Perhaps they've tried to get movement on their own or with other's assistance, but things are moving too slowly. They believe, the only way to really make it happen more quickly it to seek the person in charge and plead their case.
Surely there is a way to avoid the "red tape" and get what we need now, right?
The thing is, we already know someone in power. Our Heavenly Father.
When we step outside His purview and attempt to take matters into our own hands, we run the risk of creating more of a mess than we may already be in.
Someone once said: "The best things are never arrived at in haste. GOD is in no hurry, His plans are never rushed." I believe that's true.
His plan may be to wait. Or in talking to someone who may not be influential, but knows how to help. Or any number of possible options. We have to trust and not try to figure out what is GOD's plan before He's ready for us to know--when He wants us to know, He has no trouble alerting us.
Being aware of His direction and being in a place of trust, is the safest place to be as we wait. It's probably the most difficult place, too.
I wish I could say I learned this early in my wisdom journey, but, alas, it took too many mistakes to figure it out. My way, no matter how brilliant I think it is, will always lead me into trouble. That is, unless, my way is to follow His way.
May we seek the One in charge, my friends.
