Don't let them press your buttons.

Proverbs 17:18--Do you have people in your life that test your last nerve? They know the right buttons to push that releases anger, depression, insecurities.

On the 13th we spoke about how arrogance produces strife (Proverbs 13:10). We have the power to stop that strife, by not allowing an argument to develop.

As we develop our discernment muscles, we will be able to spot the signs of a leak in the dam holding back the flood of emotions.

Something that can keep us from heeding discernment is our need to be right--to point out that person's arrogance, or error. Most likely, we've already tried this way, but the results are always the same: loss of time, a waste of emotions, and no real resolution happened.

Stop the flood. Step away from the temptation to argue it out.

In my opinion, for what it's worth, unless you have a burning- bush communique from GOD Himself, don't engage. Stop the quarrel before it begins.

May we step away from quarrel, my friends.

Proverbs 17:14--The beginning of strife is like letting out water--so stop a quarrel before it breaks out. Tree of Life Bible Society Tree of Life Version - TLV #tlvbible #tlvproverbs
