Who is your confidence?
Proverbs 3:25-26--Not if, but when it comes. Honestly, sometimes verse 25 gives me the shivers.
Terror. Devastation.
GOD has not promised us a fairy-tale life. We're not children anymore. We know that.
What verse 26 and other verses throughout Scripture so clearly state is that He has promised to be by our side no matter what. Whatever we go through, He'll be there.
So, our confidence should not be in our abilities or our own wisdom. No matter what or when a challenging season comes upon us. Our confidence is in ADONAI who does know.
It is the LORD who will keep our foot from snares that cause us to lose our way. Those snares that tangle us so tightly we trip or can't move at all.
None of us wants to think of any type of pending doom--and maybe that's because we shouldn't be thinking of what could be.
As adults, we know we live in a fallen world. We're well aware of the terrors and devastation out there. They are visible on every form of media around us.
Although it may be difficult with all we know, our Heavenly Father wants us to trust Him like a child (Mark 10:13-16).
When something happens to us, Abba wants us to "climb into His lap" and look to Him for our provision. It's the most grown-up thing for us to do--have a childlike faith. And that's no fairy-tale.
May our confidence be in GOD, my friends.
Proverbs 3:25-26--Have no fear of sudden terror, or of the devastation of the wicked when it comes. For ADONAI will be your confidence and will keep your foot from a snare. Tree of Life Bible Society Tree of Life Version - TLV #tlvbible #tlvproverbs
