Have you wandered off the path?
Proverbs 2:20--How do you want to be greeted at the gateway into eternal paradise?
I don't know about you, but "Well done, good and faithful servant" works pretty good for me.
Walking on the path of righteousness requires difficult choices from us. Sacrifices. Faith. Doing the right thing--the hard thing.
But, I'm thinking hearing a "well done" or "welcome, My child" will be worth every sacrifice, every difficult choice, every tear, every prayer. To stand in His presence . . .
To thank Yeshua for all He did: every sacrifice, every difficult choice for us, every tear, every prayer.
To let Him know that all He had done for us was not in vain--that we honored Him with our commitment to His love.
To the best of our ability--which was flawed with our human nature and frailty--we lived our a redeemed life, covered by His blood, with integrity and joy.
Then, I'd like to fall into His strong arms and just hug Him. Let Him take me to meet His Daddy and together, we live happily, ever after.
Sometimes, I just like to imagine that moment. It motivates me to make those difficult right choices, the sacrifices, following the narrow path. Living this justified life in an attitude of purposeful, humble sanctification is where I want to be--every single day, for the rest of my life on this planet.
May we walk in the way of good men and women and keep to the path of righteousness, my friends.
