Do you pay attention?

Proverbs 7:24--Chapter seven's story of seduction is an all too common one. It's important to remember seduction comes in many forms, but always leads to the same destination--sin.

Sin separates us from GOD. It lies to us to keep us away from Him and those we love.

It changes our residency from the loving arms of the Creator of the Universe to the pit of want and despair. Even though the pit might be decorated in an enticing manner--initially.

Seduction can be avoided. If we pay attention to GOD's words and counsel. If we keep our heart fixed on our Heavenly Father and His wisdom. If we remember the cost of sin on His Son, we can turn away from seduction's kisses and promises.

Seduction is not just sexual. It's the tug of temptation to anything that pulls us into sin and away from our loving Dad and the stewardship of the life He has blessed us with.

But, we can crawl out of that pit. We can be forgiven. We can be restored in our relationship with Him, and in some cases, with others we've hurt by our sin.

It's always better to have never gone through the ordeal, but we need to remember that our GOD is always about redemption and resurrection.

May we pay attention to the words of our Heavenly Father, my friends.
