DAY 64 IN THE 91-DAY NEW HABIT CHALLENGE! #ProverbsChallenge

Proverbs 5--The fifth chapter of Proverbs explicitly warns us of the presence of seduction in this world--in our life.

Seduction is everywhere. Men, women, and even children are its victims.

As I thought about this, this verse seemed to illuminate a way for us to not just resist sexual temptation, but all the temptations around us.

I believe verses 15-19 can be summed up in one word: CONTENTMENT. Contentment is the place of happiness and satisfaction--and I would add, gratitude.

Seduction, greed, unforgiveness, temptations of nearly every kind can overtake us when we feel we are lacking something.

When we are faced with temptation--and we will be--if we are in a place of contentment, we can examine its lure in the arms of our loving Abba and resist it.

We can learn from the temptation. Be the wiser for having faced and overcome it.

If you succumb to temptation--sexual or otherwise--know that our Heavenly Daddy is here to walk you through the repercussions, forgiveness, and healing. He can restore what no one else can.

May we drink only from His springs of Living Water, my friends.

Proverbs 5:15--Drink water from your own cistern and running water from your own well. Tree of Life Bible Society Tree of Life Version - TLV
