DAY 41 IN THE 91-DAY NEW HABIT CHALLENGE! #ProverbsChallenge

Proverbs 10--These days it feels like everyone needs to be swaddled in a nice warm blanket. Newborns all the way to 2 or 3 months need that security of being wrapped in a cozy blanket. When a baby gets overstimulated, or is colicky, the snug blanket reminds them of the womb--that safe place close to mommy.

With all the rhetoric swirling around us, we can get overstimulated with anger and bitterness and self-righteousness. Everyone feels they are right, but who is ready to seek GOD's truth and will?

For those of us who are children of the Creator of the Universe--the seekers of His truth--sometimes we need to step back and swaddle ourselves in His blanket of love. And we need to stay there until we can see through the lens of love and not about being right.

We do this by being present with GOD and His Word. Not to seek out proof to defend our position, but to worship and seek His presence. To go back to the security of the "womb" of His love. Let Him ignite His purpose, and suppress our own purposes.

Hatred never works. Love can.

Hatred destroys. Love builds.

Hatred binds. Love sets us free.

Hatred festers the wound. Lover heals it.

Love never fails. (1 Corinthians 13:8)

May we choose the love that never fails us, my friends.

Proverbs 10:12--Hatred stirs up strife but love covers up all transgressions. Tree of Life Bible Society Tree of Life Version - TLV
