DAY 37 IN THE 91-DAY NEW HABIT CHALLENGE! #ProverbsChallenge

Proverbs 6--Anthropomorphism aside, you have to admire the wee ant. They're always working and rest in cycles based on the needs of the nest. They were created for the work they do and work in unity with the rest of their ant community.

Initially, when I began writing this blog my intent was to discuss the benefits of hard work and how the world has provided a myriad of distractions and excuses from meaningful tasks. They devalue the valuable and elevate the mundane.

But, it struck me that while the ant is a good example of a hard worker, the ant is another example for us.

The ant knows it purpose.

It wakes up in its little ant nest and goes about its little ant business with all the other ants. Rain or shine. It doesn't question who he is. It's an ant.

How liberating that is. To not question who we are and our purpose.

Think about this: if GOD builds into the tiniest of creatures--into their very being--an identity and purpose, doesn't He do all the more for us who are made in His image?

That means GOD wants us to know who we are, what purpose we were designed for in His Kingdom. Kind of awesome, don't you think?

May we know who GOD designed us to be, my friends.

Proverbs 6:6-8--Go to the ant, you slacker—
consider its ways and be wise!
It has no commander,
no overseer or ruler.
Yet it prepares its provisions in summer
and gathers its food at harvest. Tree of Life Bible Society Tree of Life Version - TLV
