DAY 8 IN THE 91-DAY NEW HABIT CHALLENGE! #ProverbsChallenge

Proverbs 8--In today's chapter, "Wisdom" speaks for herself. She speaks of her origins--her credibility.

She woos kings and commoners.

As GOD's emissary, she longs for His children to know Him better. To serve Him better. To live more wisely and successfully.

She offers to us lives that are well-lived with hope.

Tucked into her invitation are great nuggets of wisdom for us to use the rest of our lives. What touches you today? Did it trigger something new or a reminder to bring you back to wisdom's path? Please, share.

Today, verse 8 was a strong reminder to me to watch my words. I find if I use too many words, or speak simply to fill the air with my thoughts, superfluous words come in and corrupt or dilute whatever good message I'm trying to convey.

If I run out of air before I finish my thought, I'm probably saying too much.

It's why I like writing--I can edit, hit that delete key, and all those words can disappear. Words that confuse or misdirect or hurt.

My edit key for speaking is thinking before I speak. Just a few seconds to think about what I'm should say gives me a better chance of editing those words. And that's good for all of us.

May we edit our tongues before we speak, my friends.
