DAY 7 IN THE 91-DAY NEW HABIT CHALLENGE! #ProverbsChallenge

Proverbs 7--Once again, we have a deep father and son talk. Another one of those tough talks. Somehow I can imagine the son feeling uncomfortable, maybe thinking: Abba, do we have to talk about this again?

I wonder if embarrassment heated both father and son's cheeks or maybe there were a few rolls of the eyes.

Still, how wise of this father to speak of such things.

In today's world, parents need to have frank discussions with their sons and daughters.

Parents who aren't intimidated by these discussions will give their children a realistic view of sex, marriage, and Godly relationships.

I wish I had known all this when raising our daughter. Would we as parents have had the courage to have the tough talks?

Raising Godly kids is no accident. It takes wisdom, knowledge, discernment and understanding. Fortunately, GOD has given us His tools--His Word, His community, and His guidance. And, a lot of grace!

May we not be intimidated by the tough talks, my friends.
