DAY 5 IN THE 91-DAY NEW HABIT CHALLENGE! #ProverbsChallenge

Proverbs 5

Chapter 5 launches, full steam, into the warnings against seduction. Given King Solomon's predilection for acquiring wives, it speaks to how easy it is to succumb to the flirtations and the artful cunning of adultery and fornication.

Given Yeshua's commands that even thinking about the idea of giving in to adultery or fornication is sin (Matthew 5:28), the field is wide for temptation. The office, movies, television, the internet, and yes, even in congregations, we must always be on guard. Keeping our minds, hearts, and bodies protected from sin is our responsibility--and our choice.

GOD always provides ways for us to turn away from temptation, but we are the ones who have to make use of them.

This is Day 5 of the Challenge. We are living Proverbs in real time, in real life. In the days and weeks ahead GOD has a lot more to share on this subject. As uncomfortable as that may be, if He pricks our hearts, then there's something He's trying to show us. Not to condemn us, but to set us free!

May we choose wisely to walk away--no, run away--from sin, my friends.
