DAY 24 IN THE 91-DAY NEW HABIT CHALLENGE! #ProverbsChallenge
Proverbs 24--As I sit in the hospital room, with the hospital smells, and hospital noises, and hospital food (actually, it's not too bad), this verse reminds me of contentment.
Its reminder created an interesting phenomenon in me this morning.
It made me pause.
Breathe.
Look around me:
- At my mom resting comfortably after a sponge bath and fresh slinky nighties.
- Beautiful flowers my hubby and I purchased at the adorable gift shop.
- Sunshine through the windows and this moment to just be.
I can be content right here, right now.
Would I love to be home? Of course. I miss sleeping with my husband, snug and warm. I miss my mom padding around the house excited about what GOD showed her in the Word. I miss cooking for my family. And, I miss taking showers and fresh clothes.
I think when we have a life and home built by GOD's wisdom, it doesn't matter where our physical home is, our spiritual home is wherever He is. And, we carry those treasures wherever we go.
May we reside contently wherever we are, my friends.
Proverbs 24:3,4--By wisdom a house is built, by understanding it is prepared, and by knowledge its rooms are filled with every rare and pleasing treasure.
